Patty, a professional artist, graduated from The Art Institute of Boston. Since then she has been a fashion illustrator/graphic artist, had a hand painted clothing line, and has done interior decorating including hand-painted wall murals. In 1991 she started to explore the exciting world of floral design. She caught the entrepreneurial bug in 1995 and opened Lilacs of Sterling in the charming town of Sterling, MA which quickly became an award-winning full service flower shop. In January 2005, she decided to sell her successful business and devote her floral designing exclusively to weddings and special events. Hence, Hycrest Farm Florals came to be.

Colleen has worked with Patty as a floral designer and wedding/special event coordinator at Lilacs of Sterling for the past 10 years. Her experience for hand picking and choosing only the highest quality cut flowers for their freshness and perfect coordinating color, make our weddings extremely custom. She caters to the wide-ranging needs of our brides and corporate customers.
